On June 4, 2000 we held our 16th Annual Golf Outing to benefit the Make-A-Wish
chapter of Baltimore, MD. This event was a big success! With over 150
participants, 10 co-sponsors, and raising $50,000. The LP Cares
heart has gained momentum and more LP executives and vendors are joining
the team of wish givers. With ten more children who are facing life-threatening
illnesses, being granted their wishes as a direct result of this event,
every participant can be proud of the role they played.
We at Downing & Downing, Inc. would like to extend our appreciation
and thanks to the co-sponsors, retailers, Loss Prevention executives
and the National Retail Federation for the donations and for allowing
us the opportunity to lead the effort. Our only hope is that, wherever
we have a Loss Prevention convention, we leave wishes behind.
